We have built the Worlds first virtual online Mega Mall.
WHY? : Because, it's an awesome idea and someone somewhere was going to build a virtual online mall so, we chose to be first!
Retail is shutting down and it is a global pandemic
Video killed the radio star, and the internet is killing the Department Store
Across America department stores are closing at an epidemic speed and the wave has now hit our shores here in Australia. Store brands we’ve grown up with like, Roger David, Topman Australia, Marcs, David Lawrence, Herringbone, Rhodes & Beckett, Pumpkin Patch, Payless Shoes, Maggie T, Diana Ferrari, Mountain Designs, GAP, AVON, Esprit, Metalicus, Doughnut Time, Zumbo Patisserie, Toys R Us, Babies R Us, Shoes of Prey, Max Brenner and Laura Ashley to name a few, have all experienced a bloodbath.
“Speciality stores” are the only survivors these days. Major old brands are disappearing and we are seeing many brands now forced to open their own stores away from department stores like Ralph Loren, Hugo Boss, Etc.
The two choices an online retailer has today?
The introduction of “Marketplaces”, like Amazon, eBay, Alibaba, Shopify, Etc has brought massive pressure against the retail ecosystem we’ve all known until recently.
These disruptors, using platforms known as Marketplaces are striving for dominance in the traditional retail ecosystem. They work like this: Independent online retail stores (mostly SMEs) upload their products to the likes of Amazon and eBay who then display the goods to shoppers to view and purchase. If the product is sold then, Amazon or eBay charge a percentage of the sale price in the region of 6% to 12%.
Typically, profit margins left for the independent retailers are extremely low from the outset but now, they have little or no choice but to become Affiliates for these global monopolists. These are the new, “Pirates” on the ocean of Retail!
The only other choice an independent store owner till now, is to rely on Google and Social Media to source shoppers. This not only costs them the loss of their “independence” but to be effective, runs their marketing budget into many thousands of dollars each year if they want to seriously compete. And that is just for the small players! The major brands spend many hundreds of thousands playing this game! The small guy has, low to no chance!
Independent online stores also fear that Amazon, eBay and Alibaba may copy their product after it proves to be a good seller and then sell the re-branded imitation version in competition to them at a lower price. Most SMEs cannot compete against this practice and following the many stresses associated, are forced out of business.
The question facing every online store till now has been, do they remain independent and use Google and Social Media or do they become Affiliates to the likes of Amazon, eBay and Alibaba at the cost of giving away a large chunk of their profit and independence whilst they hope like hell they don’t get their products copied! ?

Now there is a third choice
A better choice: Aussie Mega Mall, recently showcased on Australia’s Channel Nine with the TV station’s opening statement being:
The Aussie Mega Mall has been purpose-built for every Australian online store. Rich with features and benefits for both Retailers and Shoppers, it is fast becoming the go-to place to counter the growing problems caused by these offshore interests attacking Australian retail.
Designed from the ground up with features and benefits not found anywhere else, the Aussie Mega Mall is effectively addressing a massive gap in the market and supporting local business owners, their families, employees and customers in unprecedented ways. This truly is a World-First revolution in online shopping. What Uber and Airbnb did to taxis and accommodation, Aussie Mega Mall is doing to shopping!
Marketplace stores currently fulfill 41% of online retail sales. That means 59% of shoppers who do not want to shop with the likes of Amazon,eBay and Alibaba Etc. This massive number of shoppers want to shop direct and until now, have been forced to rely on Google searches and the like to assist them in discovering online stores.
Now it just got a whole lot easier and beneficial for everyone!
The Aussie Mega Mall is introducing shoppers to merchants and merchants to shoppers with no middle man taking a cut from each transaction. No endless Google searches. Reduced customer service issues and features like search by preferred payment method at the click of a mouse or one tap on your smartphone.
Unparalleled beautiful convenience in an Aussie World First!
History is littered with corporate brands that failed to recognise ideas and concepts that took the market by surprise!
Amazon, eBay, and Alibaba gain market share daily because of this same phenomena. The failure of business to recognise and mitigate against the Marketplace concept.
What many companies fail to recognise is, a growing number of shoppers do not want to participate in the growth of these online “Pirates”. Shoppers actually want to discover online stores who offer service, support and fair priced products that are reliable. And, they want to support Australian merchants.
Today there is an overwhelming number of shoppers who are left to search for online stores via Google and if the shop isn’t on page one or two, then they will never be found! Shoppers want to shop but if your shop is not on page one or two, you won’t make a sale!
Online shopping is here to stay. Doing it inside an all-Australian online mall makes total sense. A shopping mall that lets the shopper browse, shop and buy. A shopping mall just like the traditional bricks and mortar mall we all have fond memories of. One beautiful, convenient location where you can browse 32,000 Merchants and 8,000,000 products with ease.
The Mega Mall brand is going global. Ride the next transformative wave! It’s here now!
